The Estée Edit Mini Haul + Review
I’ve been wanting to try some products from The Estée Edit ever since it launched. But it was pretty hard to get over here in the UK, until now! They’ve recently opened a store in Carnaby Street, London and I couldn’t be more excited!
The store is like nothing I’ve seen before, everything is so innovative and minimal - just like their products! My favourite thing about it was their selfie wall. Here you could have your picture taken after you’ve had your make-up done and either get it printed, or instantly uploaded to your social media. All of the staff was so helpful as well and I’ll for sure be spending a lot of my time there shopping in the future.
It was great to finally see the products up close and test everything out too. I ended up getting 3 lip products after spending about 30 minutes in the shop. I know, I totally should have gone for a mixture of things. But I was trying to contain myself a little, as all I’ve done recently is purchase beauty products!
So I was immediately drawn to 'The Barest' collection. It contains 6 nude lip shades, which of course is SO my cup of tea haha. I tested out all of the shades but the one that stood out to me the most was 02 In The Flesh. This nude has a light brown/pink undertone, the perfect balance. So I picked up both the matching lip liner and lipstick from that range. Also what I loved about this collection, is that there was definitely a nude shade for every skin tone.
The Barest Contour Lip Liner has such a creamy texture, which definitely makes application so easy. It is also in a twistable applicator so there’s no fuss with sharpening. What I also love is that this, paired underneath the lipstick just gives that added depth. It’s also gorgeous worn on it’s own for a fully matte lip look.
The Barest LipColor lipstick is one of the most moisturising lipstick formulas that I’ve ever tried. It’s branded as both a lipstick and lip balm in one - it definitely lives up to that. It contains ingredients such as Muru Muru Butter and real flower petal waxes - which is why the formula’s so hydrating. The lipstick feels super lightweight and the finish has a slight sheen to it. This is great for me, as I’m so over fully matte lips in this cold weather! As well they have a soft rose scent to them, but it’s nothing too over-powering - just really unique and delicious.
The CocoBalm is a Coconut Oil Infused Lip Gloss. This is literal heaven for me, as I’m obsessed with anything that contains coconut. I got mine in the shade 01 Coco White, but there’s 5 different tints to choose from. I chose the clear shade though, as I wanted the option to wear it over the top of other lip products, without adding more colour. But this product glides onto my lips and instantly hydrates. So The CocoBalm has been my go-to Winter weather product this year. It honestly makes my lips feel so soft and turn into the perfect base for any lip product - even liquid lipsticks! Also can we just talk about the packaging for a second. I've never seen anything like this, I just love how innovative and chic it is.
All in all guys I’m so impressed with the quality of these products and can’t wait to purchase more from The Estée Edit! I really want to try their Pore Vanishing Stick and Metallishadow Creme + Powder next. I’d love to know what you’d recommend from The Estée Edit if you’ve tried anything too!
