Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit
As soon as I saw the campaign pictures for Nicoles’ collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills, I instantly knew I had to have it. Yes, this was before I even knew it was going to be a Glow Kit. Nicole is someone that’s inspired me for such a long time now - her skills are just effortlessly amazing. So I already knew that I’d love whatever she created. It just so happens that I’m obsessed with the ABH Glow Kits too, so when I found out I freaked out - literally.
This limited edition palette has 6 metallic-luster powder highlighters. They can be used either on their own, or mixed together to create the perfect custom shade. That’s something I love to do with my highlighting palettes. So I like that all of these shades really compliment each other! Also pink is my favourite colour, so the packaging alone sold it to me. But obviously when I saw the highlighters themselves, I was even more obsessed. They all own either a pink or purple hue, so the added coral, champagne and rose gold undertones compliment that so well!
The 6 shades include:
- Kitty Kat - Pink with a platinum reflect
- Forever Young - Pink pearl with a silver reflect
- Daydream - Coral with a white gold reflect
- Forever Lit - Platinum with a lavender reflect
- Glo Getter - Champagne with a rose reflect
- 143 - Rose gold with a bronze reflect
The descriptions above are from the Anastasia website and all shades are true to their description. I also have to say that the formula is beautiful. It’s funny because they do look quite glittery in the pan, but on actual application they are pure pigment and shine - in the best possible way. Although glitter doesn’t bother me at all, I just thought that I’d mention this, as I know it can be a problem to some.
Also the highlighters look beautiful whether they are applied wet or dry! When wet the shine is definitely intensified. But this can also be created by building the highlight up in layers. I’ve been loving using my Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease brush for highlight at the moment. As I find it picks up the perfect amount for a precise but blended application. I’ve also used the highlighters on my face, eyes and body and they work beautifully - selfies to come on the IG soon lol!
The formula is super buttery and finely milled too, so they don’t highlight any texture on my skin. They also last on me for the whole day, literally from morning, until I take my make-up off in the late evening.
Also living in London, I thought I’d mention that I ordered mine from www.anastasiabeverlyhills.co.uk. I paid £39 for the palette and there were no shipping costs as I spent over £25. I placed my order on Saturday 11th March and received it on Wednesday 15th March. This was super quick for standard shipping and it was packaged great too. Everything was secured in bubble wrap and foam, so it arrived in perfect condition.
All in all I can’t recommend this palette enough! Anastasias’ Glow Kits are possibly my favourite product, of all time, ever! So purchasing this collaboration was a no brainer for me. I feel like there are shades in here for everyone too. But if some of them are too dark or light for your complexion, they’ll still look great as an eyeshadow. So I love that it’s such a multi-purpose palette as well.
I’d really like to know your thoughts on this palette guys - whether you’ve tried it or not, I’m interested either way! I’ll also be creating lots of tutorials on my YouTube channel featuring this palette, so stay tuned for those.
